ABOUT
Astrid Schroeder MA, RSME
I am a Registered Somatic Movement Educator (International Somatic Movement Education and Therapy Association (ISMETA)), Mindfulness (Mindfulness-Based-Stress-Reduction / MBSR) & Meditation Teacher (Centre for Mindfulness Research & Practice, Bangor, UK (CMRP)) and dance movement facilitator (JD, USA) with a background in psychology and somatic practice. I have also most recently been working as an Associate Researcher in somatic practice at the University of Central Lancashire (UCLAN, UK).

Added to the above comes a long history of studying & meditating, sitting, moving, dancing with and learning from a host of magnificent teachers both well-known and not-so-well known.
I am deeply inspired by ecopsychology, Buddhist and depth psychology, Soulcraft, the work of Marion Woodman, process work and a wide range of other modalities that support wholeness, an exploration of different ways of being, knowing and seeing, and the process of coming home to ourselves.
“What shape waits in the seed of you
to grow and
spread its branches against a future sky?”

~ David Whyte
As a Registered Professional Member of the International Somatic Movement Education and Therapy Association, I uphold ISMETA's code of Ethics and high Standards of Practice.
