Astrid Schroeder MA, RSME

I am a Registered Somatic  Movement Educator (ISMETA), Mindfulness (MBSR) & Meditation Teacher (CMRP Bangor, UK) and conscious dance facilitator (JD, USA) with a degree in psychology and MA in Dance and Somatic Well-being: Connections to the Living Body (UCLAN), and a long history of studying under, sitting with and learning from a host of magnificent teachers both well-known and not-so-well known that are too many to list.

My interest is in the exploration of our full human potential across all dimensions of experience: in empowerment, in achievement of a conscious relationship and connection with Self, others and life, in meaning, fulfilment and growth.

My work is grounded in and informed by

that of the main somatic pioneers,

Buddhist and analytical psychology. It also embodies a wide range of other modalities that support exploration of different ways of being – the process of awakening to a deep connection with our essential nature, being and potential.

As a Registered Professional Member of the International Somatic Movement Education and Therapy Association, I meet the high Standards of Practice and uphold the Code of Ethics. For more information visit
